The Internal Complaints Committee of Sri Ramakrishna College, in collaboration with the Youth Red Cross (YRC) and National Service Scheme (NSS), organized a guest lecture titled “Saheli – Personal Hygiene & Sanitization Awareness for Girls” on 25th November 2025.

The session was conducted by Dr. Kavya S. R, Associate Professor, Department of Prasuti Tantra & Streeroga, Yenepoya Ayurvedic Medical College & Hospital, Naringana, Mangaluru.
Dr. Kavya addressed several important health-related topics, including personal hygiene, breast cancer awareness, and the necessity of reducing junk food consumption to maintain overall well-being. Her talk was insightful, practical, and highly relevant to the students, offering valuable guidelines for healthy living.

The programme was anchored by Ms. Neha II Bcom. The Welcome Address was delivered by Mrs. Bhavya, NSS Officer. Mrs. Sumana Rai N., YRC Coordinator, introduced the resource person to the audience.

The programme was graced by Principal Dr. Anasuya Rai and Vice Principal Mrs. Prathima A, the event concluded with a Vote of Thanks proposed by Mrs. Seetha P. K., NSS Officer. The session was well received and proved to be highly beneficial for the students. It successfully created awareness on essential health practices, making “Saheli” a thoughtful and impactful initiative
