OVERVIEW

The College library came into existence in 2005, Library as a learning resource center with its motto of “Read every day and lead a better life” strives to cater to the information needs of a learner that is fundamental to functioning successfully in today’s information and knowledge driven age. The college has a full-fledged, spacious Library and Reading Room with E-Library facilities. It is well stocked with the latest books, magazines, journals, periodicals. Besides this, it also provides in-house reprographic services to its students and staff.

FACILITIES

  • Circulation(Lending Service)
  • Renewal of Books: For the renewal of books one has to bring them to circulation counter and may be renewed for a period of 15 days
  • Book Bank Service: Book bank facility is given to SC/ST Poor and deserving students. They can keep the book for the whole academic year and they should return the books after the completion of their university exams. At present we have 250 text books in our book bank section.
  • Reference: Library has reference collections like Encyclopedia, Dictionaries, Year Books, Handbooks, General Studies, Competitive Study books etc. in reference section.
  • Project Reports
  • Previous Year Question Papers
  • Periodicals/Newspaper
  • Internet Facilities. Learning Resource Center: The users of the library can make use of learning resource centre which has computers for access to e-resources
  • Reprographic Services: Photocopy facility is provided for students and faculties.
 
  RULES AND REGULATIONS
  • All readers are required to maintain perfect silence and discipline in the library.
  • Students Entry to Library and Reading Room is permitted with college uniform only. No reader is allowed to sleep in the Library or Reading Room premises
  • Students are required to deposit their belongings such as umbrellas, calculators, bags at the property rack at the entrance and should not deposit any valuables.
  • Students to produce their identity cards, enter their names and sign on Login Register before entering the library.
  • All books and personal belongings must be shown to the library staff at the library exit on his/her demands.
  • Library membership and borrower cards are not transferrable. The card holders should come personally to borrow books, authorization to second person in any form is strictly forbidden.
  • Students are responsible for the books borrowed against their borrower cards.
  • No material from the library should be taken out without proper issue. Taking books without adhering to the procedure will invite disciplinary action.
  • Loss of library card shall be intimated to the librarian. Duplicate card will be issued by charging a penalty fee of Rs 50/ per card.
  • Students are not permitted to lend books to another person within the college campus or outside.
  • Students are advised to check the book soon after the issue and if any damage is found, the same should be brought to the notice of the Librarian/library staff for a proper replacement.
 
 

DIGITAL LIBRARY

DELNET-Developing Library Network
Library is a member of Developing Library Network (DELNET), which provides services like browsing of Union Catalogues, Inter Library Loan and Document Delivery Services. Students can access the Catalogues of other Libraries through DELNET and request the required books/documents to be procured from these libraries on loan for a limited period. It is a network of more than 1000 institutions and access is being given to more than 60 lakh records through online systems. It has been actively engaged with the compilation of various union catalogues of the resources available in member libraries. It has already created the union catalogue of books, union list of current periodicals, CD-ROM database.
 
 

NATIONAL DIGITAL LIBRARY OF INDIA

National Digital Library of India (NDLI) is a virtual repository of learning resources. It is not just a repository with search/browse facilities but also provides a host of other services for the learner community. It is sponsored and mentored by Ministry of Education, Government of India, as part of its National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology (NMEICT). Filtered and federated searching is employed to facilitate focused searching. This enables learners to find the right resource with least effort and in minimum time.
 
 OPEN ACCESS
Open Access Resources are available in various forms such as e- journals, e-books, Electronic theses & Dissertations, Directories, e-print archives, digital repositories, open education resources, search engines and blogs etc. Resources listed here are mainly on the web, which are part of library collection.
